Location: Sunnyside, Queens, New York
Hudson River Rail Excursions is looking for new folks to join our rotation of part-time on-board staff! Chefs are responsible for cooking preparing gourmet meals and passed hors d'oeuvres for passengers aboard the Hickory Creek. A standard day includes cooking for 16 passengers in two seatings of eight, following a pre fixe menu on a specific schedule.
An ideal candidate is one who
Has experience as a private chef
Can do a lot with a very small space
Has a flexible schedule
Is looking for side work to supplement their primary income
Lives in New York City
Now Hiring: Car Stewards
$25/hour, plus gratuity, 10-hour minimum work day, part-time
Location: Sunnyside, Queens, New York
Hudson River Rail Excursions is looking for new folks to join our rotation of part-time on-board service staff! Car stewards serve as the on-board wait staff for Hudson River Rail Excursions patrons. Stewards are responsible for greeting guests, preparing and serving food and drinks, and cleaning, all while on a moving train.
An ideal candidate is one who
Has professional wait staff experience
Has a love for history and/or providing unique and immersive experiences
Has a flexible schedule
Is looking for side work to supplement their primary income
Lives in New York City
Trains run Thursday to Sunday in April, May, October, and November, plus several Monday holidays. Additional dates may be added for private excursions as-needed.
The United Railroad Historical Society of NJ, operators of Hudson River Rail Excursions, is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to preserve historic railroad cars to provide immersive, educational experiences to the public.
